Basic SEO Keyword Placement to Make Money Online

If you have been following my Online Marketing with SEO work, and have had your share of late nights trying to understand SEO then you will know that Online Marketing and SEO is not as easy as is sometimes suggested. But you will also know if you started without Keyword Placement, that you have wasted valuable months and even years. Not to mention all the costs like Blog and Email List Hosting, and it’s all because of simple misdirection an incorrect Keyword Placement.

Keyword Placement is the one single most important factor which determines your rate of growth, next to compelling content. Absolutely everything you do online from Blog SEO, Blog Posts, Comments, Forum Discussions, Publishing, Solo Ads and the rest of the never ending methods of attracting visitors is based on Keyword Placement. And as I have recently discovered, the correct Keyword Placement can have your Blog, Video, Articles and E-Books show up on the First Search Result Page in a matter of Days not Months or Years.

One need to always consider and accept the fact that targeting the correct audience will require preparation and proper planning. But also that targeting an interested audience is the only way to make money online regardless of your method, be it Blogging, Affiliate Marketing or otherwise.

Another common SEO mistake is submitting a Site Map to Google, because if you do not then Google cannot find its way to your Blog. A Site Map reveals the Keywords and Keyword Phrases which describes your work best so it can be categorized accordingly. Submitting a Site Map is easily done by installing a Plugin like “All in One SEO” or “Google XML Sitemaps“, but you also need to check in the “Google Search Console” that the Sitemap is indeed accepted and understood.

I recently had an “HTTP 404 Error” on my Blog Sitemap, which kind of freaked me out just a little because I was under the impressions everything was completed successfully. And after some intensive research I found that this appear to be quite a common problem, but easily fixable.

Now a Sitemap URL normally end with “/sitemap.xml“, but sometimes an extra (Dot/Full Stop) is added at the end from inside the Google XML Sitemaps Plugin and may be one of the reasons for the “HTTP 404 Error“. Luckily this is easily rectified by simply deleting the old Sitemap from the Google Search Console and simply copy/paste the Sitemap URL from the Plugin, only discarding that last full stop.

But let’s get back to Keyword Placement, just thought I’d better share some latest findings that made a huge difference to my own Sites and Videos Ranking Capability. The first few lines of your content is also your most profitable lines to work with, because that is how your Content get Categorized by All Major Search Engines like Google and Bing. Which is why the Site Title (H1 Header) and Post Title (H2 Header) with Widget Titles (H3 Headers) and the first 160 Characters of your Content Body is the only way you will make money online with your Blog.

The challenge however is to use those Search Phrases as part of Description Context and not just cram a bunch of Search Phrases in there that makes no sense. Within a Description the Search Phrase targeted should appear at least 2 – 3 times, and can prove a lot more challenging when using Search Phrases in Context.

For best results with Keyword Placement it’s always advised to try and create a fusion between your site Long Tail and Short Tail Keywords, and then include these Search Phrases in both Title and First 160 Characters because that is normally recognized as your Content Description.

That is the Description you may also see in the Meta Description of sites on a Search Result Page in Any Major Search Engine. You have the Site Title normally at the top in Blue, then the URL right beneath it in Green with the Description Text in Black. You may also notice some Keywords in Bold within the Meta Description, which will be the Keywords the Site currently Ranks for.

Exactly which Keywords and Search Phrases to use will be different to each person depending on the Niche you choose to make money online with. It is always better to target Keywords and Search Phrases with a High Search Volume and a Low to Medium Competition, but even then it may take a while to actually appear in Google Search Results.

Search Engine Optimization is quite basic and mostly Logic once you get the hang of it, but it is the less travelled path for a reason. While actual Ranking may increase quite rapidly with correct Keyword Placement, it may involve weeks and even months of proper research to obtain those relevant Keywords and Search Phrases.

You may even end up changing the Blog and Post Title a few times in the Meta Description, but when you do be sure that you also check on the Sitemap in the Google Search Console. Remember that when you change Keywords and Search Phrases the entire Sitemap also changes, and if you do not update that it will be like giving Google the Wrong directions to your site.

Proper Search Engine Optimization really is as simple as merely telling All Major Search Engines exactly what your Blog, Video, Article or any Content is about. The basics always come down to Title, Description and how many times the Search Phrase appear.

Keyword and Search Phrase Placement is your Direction, and it’s So Much More Important than Speed. Making Money Online is a Numbers Game of how many hours, days, weeks, months and even Years you’re prepared to keep going.

Post Title Tip – Try avoiding words like “and” or “at” in a Post Title because this will sometimes show up as a Special Character (&@$%) which is not considered SEO Friendly and will decrease your Blog SEO Score.

This also goes for Video, Article and E-Book titles because at some point in time those Titles are going to show up in Google Search Results. Which is why it is so important to use the Search Phrases in Context because that is the Description that a Visitor will read.

This is also part of the “First Impression”, what does your potential buyer see when they look at the Meta Description on the Google Search Result Page? Do they see a desperate attempt at a sale, or an actual professional suggestion to relevant, unique and compelling content?

The only “Secret” to actually Making Money Online is to keep going until you succeed, not until you grow tired of trying.

A Lack Of Commitment Is One Of The Major Causes Of Failure

People by the millions are bailing out of jobs, careers, businesses, relationships and life in general. Many of these people lack commitment to a cause, lifestyle, purpose, or outcome. When it gets a little tough, uncomfortable, or they don’t get the results they thought they would as quickly as they thought they should, their response is: “I’m outa here.”

By commitment I am not suggesting you should endure an abusive relationship, continue to work for an organization that treats you unprofessionally or hold on to a business that has been dead and buried. I am suggesting, however, that you consider your attitude about this concept. Is bailing out your knee jerk reaction to difficult times, a failure, a stressful period in a relationship, continuous problems or a bad year?

Many people today seem to lack any sense of real commitment and responsibility. Everyone wants to blame someone or something for their problems or adversity. Difficult times can build strength and character, and can give you a real “high” when you overcome them. You cheat yourself of this sense of accomplishment when things are easy.

Life is not meant to be easy, but living it is. The key to remember is what is happening isn’t really that important. There will always be “negative stuff” in your business, career, relationships and life in general. The secret is to understand that it isn’t what is happening ‘out there’ in the world, but what is happening ‘inside’ in your inner world of thought, feelings and consciousness.

There is a tremendous benefit to sticking it out when life throws you curves. These times can be the most creative and motivating, and provide you with a tremendous opportunity for growth. Change in status in any business, career or relationship brings both the need and benefit of new thinking and acting. Avoiding these times by quitting robs you of this joy of winning and learning.

How committed are you in all areas of your life? Are you considering throwing in the towel? Have you experienced ‘more than you can handle’ issues? Does it seem as if life is picking on you? Join the club, my friend. Everyone has issues, problems, or stuff in their life. It comes with the territory.

But you have a choice. You can look down and see the mud or look up and see the sun. You can give up, quit and move on, or you can draw a line in the sand saying: “this is where I make my stand.” Just think of how many opportunities are missed because people quit one day, week or month too soon.

Don’t let it happen to you. Commit, go for it, never give up, believe in your dreams, future and life.

Top 10 Benefits of Male Chastity

Many people find the concept of male chastity fun and exciting. This is particularly true if the male partner is somewhat submissive or the female partner is somewhat dominant. But, it’s not only for couples in those kinds of relationships. In fact, it can benefit almost any heterosexual relationship.

Male chastity is not just fun and games – there are real benefits to the male chastity lifestyle.

Because the topic is so personal, often those interested fear ridicule and embarrassment so, many of their questions go unasked. Just check out a forum or two where someone dared to ask a question about male chastity…”weirdo, whack job, pervert, sicko…” are often the unkind comments returned. It is a personal choice in life, like anything else and can be discussed sensibly like anything else. That’s why I want to take some time today to write about the top 10 benefits of male chastity – for those who are to shy to ask about being under loving lock and key.

1. It stops your man from wasting his time and libido masturbating. If you are in a relationship, all of his sexual energy should be directed at you. It should not be wasted on him touching himself and thinking about other women. As long as he can masturbate, he is psychologically cheating on you – and lying to you by default.

2. Your sex life will improve. Because he’ll have to please you in order to get his release, he’ll become a more experimental and better lover. You will have more orgasms per week than you’ve ever had before.

3. Your relationship will become stronger. Male chastity encourages open and honest communication about each other’s needs. This is an incredible benefit for any couple, and why male chastity can help any couple improve their natural bonding.

4. His orgasms will improve. As long as he can masturbate regularly, he is taking action that desensitizes his penis. Once he is on a more normal ejaculation schedule, his penis will become more sensitive and his orgasms will become stronger.

5. You will never have to worry about him cheating on you. Face it – most men, no matter how much they love their wives, can’t turn down an attractive, sexy woman. Male chastity makes it impossible for him to act on these urges, so you are helping him remain faithful.

6. The romance will come back into your relationship. As long as he knows he can have sex with you any time he wants, there’s no reason for him to romance you. That’s why the romance stopped after you got married. By limiting his sexual access to you, you’ll train him to be the romantic lover he was when you were still dating.

7. You’ll never have to perform oral sex on him again. Of course, you can if you want to; but he’ll be quite happy with any sort of release, and certainly never bother you to do it for him.

8. Your friends will compliment you on what a wonderful, attentive husband you have. They will be so jealous of your strong, committed relationship.

9. He’ll become much more helpful around the house. Knowing that the only way he can get the release his body craves so badly is by pleasing you, he’ll actually volunteer to do the dishes, clean the bathroom and make the bed every morning. Won’t that be nice?

10. He’ll feel better about himself. Most men are ashamed that they masturbate so often (usually seven to 15 times a weeks! Ewww!). But, they are slaves to their libido and can’t help themselves. It’s an addiction. Mostly it makes them feel like little boys who can’t control themselves. Once he no longer is able to give into the temptation to masturbate, he’ll feel proud of his self-control and behave more like a grown-up man who releases his sexuality into his wife, instead of down the shower drain.

Those are just the top 10 benefits of the male chastity lifestyle. While male chastity may not be for everyone – many couples find it to be the perfect solution to relationship woes and bedroom boredom!

Build Your Personality, Be Addressed Like You Want to Be Addressed

The entertainment point gives a lot of information ranging from the latest news, celebrity gist, new music, movie review, fashion trend and more importantly personality development. Today I will be writing about four things that are decreasing human performance and productivity.

Here are four things you need to stop, because they are making us stressed out, reducing our productivity and negatively affecting our relationships and personal life:

1. Procrastination is the avoidance of doing a task that needs to be accomplished until later date or time. Sometimes, procrastination takes place until the last minute before a deadline. There is this feeling of ‘there is still time’, ‘I can do this later’ etc. Procrastination makes you do things in a haste thereby increasing chances of mistakes because you are doing them in the last minute and increasing pressure. Procrastination can lead to feelings of guilt, inadequacy, depression and self-doubt. Are you always late? Or you seem to do things when they are almost expiring or rather you still perform poorly when you have enough time to give a good performance, then check yourself you are procrastinating, fight it today by doing anything you want to do immediately, remember the saying “The Earlier The Better.”

2. Laziness: Laziness is also called indolence; it is a habit rather than a mental health issue. It reflect a lack of self esteem, a lack of discipline stemming from low self-confidence, or a lack of interest in the activity or belief in its worth. Sometimes you have this feeling when you have a lot of work to do, but you feel tired not because you are sick, but because you have a negative feeling towards the work or you feel the work is not worth giving your best. Laziness may manifest as procrastination. Remember “Anything worth doing is worth doing well

3. Distraction: Distraction is the process of diverting the attention of an individual from a desired area of focus and thereby blocking or reducing the reception of desired information. Distraction is caused by the lack of ability to pay attention; Lack of interest in the object of attention or the greater intensity of something other than the object of attention. We all are victims of distraction, in the 21st Century, with advancement of technology; there is increased distraction from our phones, social media, laptops, computer games, video games etc. Students today, find it difficult to concentrate in class; workers find it difficult to concentrate in their working place, thereby reducing both our performance and productivity. Even though distraction is useful in the management of pain and anxiety, we still have to learn how to concentrate whenever we are supposed to. Remember this saying by Beth Moore “If destruction fails to entangle us, distraction will do its best” Beth Moore

4. Workaholism (Workaholic): A workaholic is a person who works compulsively. A workaholic is one who works excessively hard and for long hours. While the term may imply that the person enjoys their work, it can also alternately means that they simply feel compelled to do it. According to Cambridge Dictionary, It can also be a person who works a lot of the time and finds it difficult not to work. You may be surprised that there are people who love to work more than anything, Yes! There are, even though it is a good thing to love your work, but there is also a limit to everything.

While we work to earn money, we need to spend some time resting and to spend with our family, as a parent, it is bad not to have time for your spouse and kids, it make them lack parental love which can cause bad habits like drug abuse and increase their chance of being violent.

Like we know, too much of everything is bad. There are a number of effects of workaholism which includes: Deep related health problems, it can lead to a loss of empathy and negatively affect relationships, it makes you burn out (mentally exhausted) and it causes fatigue thereby reducing your performance in that job you love. Like they say “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, All play and no work makes Jack a mere toy.”

Designed for a Purpose

Purpose creates the existence of everything which we see. The things which are seen existing are in existence because of its purpose. Purpose must be fulfilled and so things are built to exist as a means through which purpose is fulfilled, that without purpose nothing will exist. Everything built was made with the purpose in mind which means that purpose makes the things which we see possible. This is quite a compelling understanding because with this understand we can fully be aware of the reason why things are made differently, why a shoe does not look like an airplane because of their difference in purpose which created the obtrusive difference in the invention.

PURPOSE OF HUMANS

Watching lives being lived without discovering purpose is one of the most disturbing views to watch. We live a confused life when we refuse to discover our purpose, denying ourselves the opportunity to live the life that is full of everything that is for us only. We exist to serve a purpose, it is in the serving of the purpose that we really are living and so to be unaware of purpose is to exist without living. Anything that lives outside of its purpose becomes useless to itself and others, like a shoe, if it goes outside of its purpose, it becomes useless, useless because its potential is not been used and it is in no way needful in a place outside of its purpose. Each one of us is created differently because of the different purpose we have to fulfill and so our innate potential differs. We are unique like it or not.

THE STRUGGLE TO KNOW OUR PURPOSE

There is a visible struggle that is seen in the very eyes of the ones who are frantically seeking after the knowledge of their purpose. It has in a way landed some people down the plane of search, put off the fire that burns for coming into purpose. In this stage of life, it is not all that goes into the forest that comes out with the revelation of their purpose. It is in the same look we have as humans that make it difficult to discover our purpose. A car and a phone, the purpose is obtrusive because we see the difference between them and we understand that our unique purpose makes us different but looking from the outside of ourselves, we look alike and that has left us with the struggle that has led many to die without fulfilling their purpose.

HOW TO KNOW OUR PURPOSE

It is imperative that we come quickly into the place of purpose to live our unique life more fully. Knowing your purpose is a solution to the confusion you encounter in your life, the mirror which you see the place you fit and the answer to why you are said to be unique.

The first step is to go to your creator. The purpose of an invention is in the mind of the inventor and so if you can’t see the purpose of a thing, you ask the one who made it. It is therefore compulsory to go to God the one who created us to find our purpose. The seeking of God’s face is the discovery of purpose and so to be in the inventors mind is to find your purpose. If you can get God to keep you in his mind by seeking him ravenously, he will reveal to you your purpose.

The second step is a form of self-analysis. Observing yourself from within to see how different you are from others because the differences is as a result of your purpose so the moment you look for how different you are from others, you open your eyes to discover your purpose. This leads me to a thought that your purpose is your true identity, that who you are is not in the similarities you have with others but in the differences, that is why when we try to fit in with others, we compromise the possibility of discovering who we are and denying ourselves the knowledge of our purpose. The ones, who really know who they are, behave differently and if not already living on purpose, can easily discern it. They are the most productive, impactful and effective individual in the world

To discover purpose is to be aware of who you are. It gives your life a sense of meaning and responsibility, a mission and vision. To live on purpose is to fulfill the objective of the one who made you.

Balancing Pregnancy, Life, and Work

Have you ever walked into a room or sat at your desk and looked at the pile of crap that has to get done? As you’re standing there you wonder how in the world can two people, who feel like they are never home, accumulate that much laundry and dishes. I mean seriously. The amount of laundry that piles up in my house with just my husband and me is insane and I know it’s going to get worse when little Davie gets here. I’ve never been a superb house keeper but as I stared the third trimester in the face I knew I had to start changing habits now in order to make our lives easier once our lives get turned upside down with a newborn.

The first order of business? Catching up on all the housework I hadn’t done in the first trimester. For those that didn’t know the first trimester was rough. I was sick all the time and I had absolutely no energy. I was easily in bed by 7 and regularly took naps on my lunch break at work. The house was the absolute last thing on my radar and it showed. So here’s where I started putting my game plan together.

Step 1: De-clutter, Deep Clean, and Reorganize. I knew that I wanted to get rid of as much crap in the house as we possibly could but I also knew that if I didn’t break down the projects into more “bite-size” pieces that I wouldn’t get any of it done. So I made a “Nesting To Do List” where I broke down each room and what needed to be cleaned and/or replaced. I made a commitment to get one “big” project done a week. Whether it was going through my closet and dressers or decluttering our desk (that had become a catch all) I got something done each week. That has been such a tremendous help. Within a month my kitchen, laundry room, guest room, master bedroom and bathroom was gone through and cleaned. This included going through and getting rid of excess clothes, knick-knacks, pots, pans, dishes, shoes, bags, anything and everything I didn’t need or use often was donated. I washed down walls, cleaned ceiling fans, appliances, etc. This is Spring Cleaning on Crack. I swear to you it has made all the difference in the world and keeping it on the fridge helps keep it in the forefront of my mind. I’ll explain why here soon.

Step 2: Set a New Precedent. Start small don’t make your new “rule” CLEAN ALL THE THINGS EVERY DAY. You are setting yourself up for failure that way. I started by making sure dinner’s dishes did not sit in the sink over night. I made my sink of hot, soapy water before I started cooking and as I was finished with something I would put it in the sink. That way you avoid the “I’ll just let this soak here overnight.” Nope. No more of that Mama, it just creates more work for you tomorrow. The next thing I added was not allowing laundry to go more than one day without being folded and put away. This is so hard for me. I hate folding laundry with a passion but you know what I hate more? Spending 8+ hours cleaning and folding laundry. Yes, that has happened. Starting with smaller goals like those have made it easier to keep up with the overall picture.

Step 3: Take 15 minutes a day and pick-up the house. I’m able to go to each room and pick-up the clutter and put it where it needs to be. I move clothes to hampers, trash to the trash can, glasses to the sink, shoes to closets, etc. Now I have a smaller home so this may need to be adjusted for you. You may need to take 15 minutes a day and do one room, or one level. Any quick picker-uppers when you can will open up more time for you to enjoy on your actual days off.

Step 4: Become a Lister/Planner. I have a list for everything, especially right now. I invested in a Plum Paper planner and I absolutely love it. The fact that you can pick from a lot of pretty colors, add so many different options, personalize it, and choose your start month are all aspects that I love. I’ll be purchasing my second one next month. I got the vertical design which allows me to add notes to the left side of my planner. I keep calls I need to make, bills I need to pay that week, and any smaller tasks I need to handle by the end of the week on the left. I mark once I’ve paid a bill and it’s out of the account. I made the mistake of marking “paid” on a bill before it was out of the account and it threw us for a loop when it hit our account a couple days later. On the right side I have all of my appointments written down for the week or any other important meetings/dates. Every morning when I get to my desk I open that planner and see what needs to be handled. Even a reminder to return a Redbox comes in handy when prego brain decides to strike.

Step 5: Learn to say no. This has been so hard for me. I have always been go, go, go with roughly 10 different things going on at one time. Once you’re pregnant though you have to understand that you have new limitations on energy. Even on my best days so far I have a solid 3-4 hours of high productivity for house cleaning and then I’m done. I also have to keep this in mind in my work day. I am most productive first thing in the morning so if there is anything imperative that needs to happen I handle it as soon as I get in. Which brings me to my next point.

Step 6: Be honest. I am very lucky to work with a very family oriented company and in an office that strives to take exceptional care of their employees. Management knew about our fertility struggles and was very considerate as we maneuvered through diagnosis, doctors’ appointments, and the emotional roller coaster that followed. So when I found out I was pregnant I told them right away. I understand that many women are not afforded this luxury so as you navigate your own first trimester be sure and take care of your current responsibilities but I would suggest not taking on any new projects. I think it benefited me and my team greatly that everyone knew so early. They understood if I was feeling sick and would take care of the phone calls I had to jump off of in order to make it to the restroom. They also were considerate making sure that I got the early lunch if I needed my nap earlier or if I needed to eat sooner. Again, I’m very blessed with my work family.

Step 7: Remember to take a breath. This is going to be one of the most joyous and life changing events of your life. I know how it can overwhelm you. What needs to be done, what needs to be cleaned, what needs to be purchased, how your plans are being judged by other mothers, and everything in between. However, take the time to focus on the things you are most looking forward to as well. One thing I’m really excited about? Getting the car seat in my truck. It’s like an official “I’m a Mom” stamp.

Balancing being pregnant, house work, being a wife, and being a co-worker can become quite the circus act but with a little extra organization, planning, and elbow grease you’ll ease into the transition with only a couple bumps. Happy Pregnancy Mamas!

XOXO

The Purpose of Control Accounts

The reasons for having control accounts are as follows:

1. Check on the accuracy

They provide a check on the accuracy of entries made in the personal accounts in the sales ledger and purchase ledger. It is very easy to make a mistake in posting entries, because there might be hundreds of entries to make. Figures might get transposed. Some entries might be omitted altogether, so that an invoice or a payment transaction does not appear in a personal account as it should. By comparing:

o The total balance on the debtors account with the total of individual balances on the personal accounts in the sales ledger.

o The total balance on the creditors account with the total of individual balances on the personal accounts in the purchase ledger.

It is possible to identify the fact that errors have been made.

2. Location of errors

It could also assist in the location of errors, where posting to the control accounts are made daily or weekly, or even monthly. If a clerk fails to record an invoice or a payment in a personal account, or makes a transaction error, it would be a formidable task to locate the error or errors at the end of a year, say, given the hundreds or thousands of transactions during the year.

By using the control account, a comparison with the individual balances in the sales or purchase ledger can be made for every week or day of the month, and the error found much more quickly than if accounts did not exist.

3. For internal check

Where there is a separate of clerical bookkeeping duties, the control account provides an internal check. The person posting entries to the accounts will act as check on a different person whose job it is to post entries to the sales and purchase ledger accounts.

4. More simply and quickly

To provide debtors and creditors balances more quickly for producing a trial balance or balance sheet. A single balance on a control account is obviously expected simpler and quickly than many individual balances in the sales or purchase ledger.

This means also that the number of accounts in the double entry bookkeeping system can be kept down to a manageable size, since the personal accounts are memorandum accounts only and the control accounts instead provide the accounts required for a double entry system.

Endometriosis is a painful condition in which endometrial tissue, which lines the uterus, can appear in the pelvic cavity and elsewhere in the body where it doesn’t belong. Endometriosis is one of the most frequent diseases in gyneacology, affecting 15-20% of women in their reproductive life, contributing to 5% cases of infertility. Scientists do not know exactly how the tissue ends up where it doesn’t belong but there are a number of theories which I mention below.

Regardless of where it is located this endometrial tissue will behave in the same way as the uterus lining by responding to monthly cycling of hormones and bleeds during menstruation. In the case of Endometriosis, because the shed endometrial tissue and blood in other parts of the body can not leave the body through the vagina as the menstrual blood can, it forms scar tissue and painful adhesions. Endometrial growths are most commonly found in the pelvic cavity and can grow on ovaries, pelvic ligaments, tubes, bowel and bladder.

There are a few theories as to how the tissue manages to migrate. Some suggesting retrograde flow of menstrual blood and seeding or attaching to other tissues, while others suggest endometrial cells being laid down in the wrong places during the embryologic development of the foetus. This theory emerged as it could not be explained how endometrial tissue reached the brain though the retrograde flow of menstrual blood? Many women experience retrograde flow into the abdominal cavity via the fallopian tubes, but this is usually picked up by the immune system and cleaned up by macrophages. Yet another theory suggests that endometrial growths start from stem cells and are caused by a combination of factors. Endometriosis can cause heavy and painful periods, abnormal bleeding and infertility.

As endometriosis has been associated with the presence of auto-antibodies and the presence of other autoimmune diseases, scientists are now suggesting that endometriosis is an autoimmune disease.

Although genetic predisposition, environmental factors and altered immune and endocrine function are believed to play a significant role in endometriosis, the true cause still remains unclear.

How does endometriosis lead to infertility?

If the endometrial tissue grows within the fallopian tubes it can block them. Due to inflammation there are a high number of macrophages in the area which can destroy the sperm and interfere with implantation. Ovulation may or may not occur, and even if it does occur there may not be enough progesterone to support the implantation. The risk of ectopic pregnancy is higher than usual. Anti-endometrial antibodies may be responsible for the high incidence of miscarriages and poor implantation often associated with this condition.

Here are 8 ways you can treat endometriosis – naturally

Endometriosis is viewed as an estrogen dependent condition and the endometrial implants have been shown to reduce in size when estrogen levels in the body normalize or drop. Studies have found that inflammation resulting from bleeding of the endometrial implants each month actually increases estrogen activity. Another contributing factor is low progesterone which can lead to anovulatory cycles.

1. Eat organically grown food and avoid exposure to commercial insect repellents. Studies have found that exposure to chlorinated hydrocarbons (e.g., DDT, PCB, pentachlorophenol, hexachlorocyclohexane) has been associated with an increase in rates of miscarriage and endometriosis.

2. Avoid soft plastics. This includes drinking out of plastic water bottles, storing your food in plastic food wrappers, wearing surgical gloves, buying products in food wrap and touching printing ink with your hands. What do all these have in common? They contain Phthalates and PVC. Known endocrine disruptors and estrogen mimickers, linked to asthma, negative developmental and birth defects, immune system dysfunction, endometriosis and infertility.

3. Reduce your intake of animal products. The first line of natural treatment for endometriosis is to minimize intake of animal products due to the high content of hormones, pesticides and herbicides which are known endocrine disruptors.

4. Eat bitter foods to support clearance of estrogen via the liver. They are grapefruit, lemons, limes, rocket, endive, romaine lettuce, artichokes. To the same end drink dandelion and St. Mary’s thistle tea.

5. Avoid allergens and take immune system supplements. As you’ve seen the immune system plays a role in endometriosis. As such you want to make sure you provide your immune system with all the key elements required for optimal function. They are vitamin C, vitamin E, betacarotene, zinc and selenium and probiotics. In addition have an IgG 90 foods intolerance test. This will show you what foods you are intolerant to. These need to be avoided to help balance the immune system.

6. Exercise regularly to improve circulation, toxin and waste removal. Exercise also boosts your metabolism (which is good for your endocrine function) and immune system. Both of which are crucial in treatment of endometriosis.

7. Include foods that promote circulation and waste removal. The following foods and spices promote circulation and waste removal cayenne, basil, chives, eggplant, garlic, ginger, kohlrabi, leek, nutmeg, pepper, rice, rosemary, scallion, spearmint, turmeric, cinnamon, lemons, zest of lemon, seaweed.

8. Increase your fibre intake to improve estrogen clearance from your intestines, including: adzuki beans, psylium husks, apples, other legumes, nuts and seeds.

9. Take a high quality fish oil (make sure the one you choose is tested for mercury and stabilized with vitamin E (to protect it from oxidation)). Fish oil reduces inflammation associated with endometriosis, minimizing associated pain and improving the odds of healthy implantation. I recommend Krill oil (the plankton whales and other fish eat) as it’s less likely to be contaminated. Ideally you want to have 1000mg three times a day with food. Store it in the fridge. To see which supplement I recommend go to the site below.

10. Take an iodine supplement there is an established link between hypothyroidism and endometriosis and so taking an iodine supplement can correct underactive thyroid function.

The Master Skill of Coaching: Building Rapport

The master skill of coaching is building rapport; without it all the other skills become increasingly redundant. In building rapport it is useful to think of a three step process: knowing you, liking you and finally trusting you. This is as true in coaching as it is in sales; for ultimately we are all into selling our ability to influence others.

Are you conscious of building rapport, especially when you meet new people or when working with a client? How do you build rapport? What steps do you take?

KNOWING YOU

Start with the body: smile, introduce yourself and what you do, and then thank them for their time in speaking with you. That sets a scene for ‘knowing you’. Clearly, how you introduce yourself is critical: one has to think not about overloading people with ‘me’ statements and assertions designed to inflate one’s own importance; but, more significantly, to excite curiosity about you and what you do, or enable them to see how talking to you will benefit them. The principles of physically meeting somebody so that one can say one ‘knows’ them are also true online: we create a persona online and this too needs to be welcoming, warm and more about the client than the self.

LIKING YOU

For them – the client – then to like you there are five triggers which can increase liking. First, physical attractiveness, or what has been called the halo effect. We impute other virtues – mental, emotional, moral – to people we perceive as attractive. Attractiveness, however, is not something ‘fixed’, or that we are simply born with (or not!). Hence the importance of clothes, grooming, and conscious image-management. Second, similarity or likeness: we tend to like people more if we perceive they are like us. Some aspects of this – where we were born or educated – may be beyond our control, but things such as body language, voice tone and dress are quite malleable. Third, people like us more when we compliment them; not crudely, and not flattery, but when we genuinely notice and express appreciation for some aspect of them, their possessions, achievements or qualities. Fourth, we increase our likeability when we are familiar to the other person. Familiarity occurs when they are exposed to us and our name more frequently – through repetition, through co-operation; and when we think about it, this is exactly how we form friends: by spending more time in their company. And, to extend this further, it may be because they have read about us, or seen our website or blogs, and so on. Finally, we get to like others more if we can associate them with good experiences. This good experiences may be physical (we play golf together), intellectual (you make me think in new ways), or emotional (I find you very supportive). But ultimately we all prefer to be with people who give us good experiences, and these can be very simple things: like providing a good quality cup of coffee or tea when they visit you!

Which of these 5 triggers do you typically – whether consciously or otherwise – use to build rapport with people? Which, perhaps, might you use more of? How do you intend to improve your ability to build rapport over the next 12 months?

TRUSTING YOU

So, they know you, they like you, and critically to build true rapport they must trust you. All serious relationships are based on trust, and without trust no serious work or business (or relationship) can be done or function. The coach then must engender trust in the client. Trust builds over time; for everyone, until full trust is established, is always asking themselves, ‘Can I trust this person? Can I trust what they are saying to me? Is there some secret agenda?’

Trust comes about when we are consistent – we practise what we preach, we walk the talk, and we do what we say we are going to do on a repeated basis. Trust also comes about from first impressions: so we return to how we appear; and especially our body language and eye contact are critical. It is not a coincidence that in the English language we have words like ‘shifty’, which indicate somebody is not to be trusted, because people intuitively pick up on the fact that the body and the words are not consonant.

But finally, here, we come full circle, for the last, and perhaps critical, aspect of building trust – hence building rapport – leads directly on to our other core skill: questioning and listening. The listening component of the questioning skill is central to trust. Real listening is effectively an act of love. Nearly everyone experiences the sense that nobody is listening to them or taking them seriously; we all want to demand attention – and as children we get some from our parents, but probably not enough; and then from friends and teachers, but invariably we wonder, ‘Is anyone really listening?” Falling in love and having a partner is really that throw of the dice whereby we commit to someone – that special someone – who if nobody else does, is the one person who will listen to us. Of course, when that fails, it is extremely distressing and debilitating for the individual. They talk about ‘falling out of love’, but almost always, before they fell out of love, they were no longer listening. Bizarre as it sounds, to coach someone, really coach them, is to love them – and that truly builds rapport!
