Jackie Bennett OBE appointed as new Residential Property Forum Chairperson

Jackie Bennett OBE has been appointed new Chair for the Residential Property Forum (RPF) – a Bank of England convened, industry-led group, which helps monitor the residential property sector in the UK.

Jackie is currently a Senior Advisor for UK Finance specialising in Personal Finance. Prior to that she worked as a Director and lead executive for the UK Finance Mortgage Product and Service Board. She is also currently a non-executive director on the New Homes Quality Board (NHQB) and OnLadder, the chair of NHQB RemCo and trustee of the FairLife Charity. She has over 20 years’ experience in the mortgage industry across residential and buy to let and was awarded an OBE in June 2010 for services to the financial services industry during the financial crisis.

Members of the forum, which meets quarterly, include representatives from house builders, investors, landlords, intermediaries, housing market experts and commentators, estate agents and financial institutions.

The forum was set up in in 2010, and works alongside the Commercial Property Forum. Both forums inform the work of the Financial Policy Committee to maintain financial stability in the UK. The RPF provides insight on developments in the housing and mortgage markets.

Jackie Bennett said:

Jackie was appointed in an open process, will start with immediate effect and serve for three years. She replaces Andrew Baddeley-Chappell who recently finished his term.
